The 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting takes place from August 26 to 30 in Nuku'alofa, the capital of Tonga. Leaders meet at the annual event to develop collective responses to regional issues and deliver their vision for peace, harmony, security, social inclusion and prosperity. China has been working closely with the Pacific Islands nations under the Belt and Road Initiative.
