Amid the widespread Pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses, which had resulted in nearly 2,900 arrests, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Antisemitism Awareness Act, partly in response to critics argue that both the bill and the arrests may infringe upon freedom of speech. Why did lawmakers introduce this bill despite existing laws against antisemitism? How likely might the bill be approved in the U.S. Senate and ultimately signed into a law? And how exactly shall we define the concept of Antisemitism?
