The UN Security Council this week adopted a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during Ramadan and the immediate release of all hostages. This is the first time for the Council to adopt such a resolution since the Hamas October 7 attack last year. But the U.S., which abstained, has already called the resolution "unbinding," a move that is undermining the resolution as well as the UN. So, will the resolution have any impact on stopping the violence? And does the "unbinding"label by the U.S. set a dangerous precedent? To take a closer look, we're joined by Rick Dunham, visiting scholar at Tsinghua University; Dr. Gal Luft, co-director at the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security; and Wang Jin, associate professor at Northwest University of China.
