UNGA backs Palestine's UN membership: How good are the chances this time?

Recently, the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly backed a resolution favoring full UN membership for Palestine, which currently has UN observer status. While 143 countries voted in favor, 25 abstained, and nine were against it – including the U.S. and Israel. What does the resounding approval mean to Palestinians? What are the challenges still ahead for Palestine to become a UN member? As the war rages on in Gaza, how far are we from a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue? To take a closer look, we are joined by Rick Dunham, visiting scholar from Tsinghua University; Dr. Gal Luft, co-director of the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security; and Wang Jin, associate professor from Northwest University of China.
