The final days of May saw unbearable heat waves in India, Pakistan and Mexico as well as other extreme weather like flooding, wildfires and tornadoes across the world. The impact of climate change has gone beyond the coastlines, going deep into the heartland of many countries, and has even caused major turbulence of air flights and mid-air deaths in just the past weeks. What are the reasons behind these extreme weather events? How much is climate change to blame? And what are the dire predictions for the future if nothing is done to stop it?
Guests in this episode are Ma Jun, director of the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs, and Prasoon Singh, fellow and area convenor at the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in New Delhi.
