Eleven academics from the United States and Europe are taking part in a week-long trip organized by the People's University of China, during which they will visit Shanghai, Yiwu, Wenzhou, and Beijing. They will meet with representatives of the Chinese government, enterprises and strategic academia to get the latest updates on the state of the economy and policy directions. This is the first international strategic academic delegation to China after the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Axel Goethals, CEO of the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS) told CGTN that most people's impression of China is still stuck in the stereotypes of decades ago, which is the main problem we face.
