As the visit by a delegation of Olympians from Chinese mainland to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) entered the second day on Friday, and athletes attended more interactive events with locals, generating a lot of fun for both sides.

2024 Paris Olympic swimming gold medalists Qin Haiyang and Pan Zhanle visited the disciplined services and showed with their actions key points of how to do it right in breaststroke and freestyle to Hong Kong teenagers.

Qin even used Mahjong, an old Chinese traditional game, to explain how a swimmer should use his arms in breaststroke. Though playing Mahjong is very different from swimming, his lecture was easy for teenagers to understand and learn.

Champion paddlers from the 2024 Paris Games went to Hong Kong Sports Institute and experienced various sports. Wang Chuqin had an indoor rowing contest with students; Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu joined hands to play squash.

Hong Kong teenagers didn't miss the opportunity to play table tennis with the world's best. Instead of using regular paddles, Fan Zhendong and Ma Long were given the lid of a cooking pot and a spatula to compete. It took them some time to get used to it, but the two handled the new equipment well.

"Hopefully you can feel our great respect and love for you," said Chris Tang Ping-keung, secretary for security of the HKSAR government.
