The 19th Changchun Film Festival is taking place in Changchun City from August 28 to September 1. This year's festival is themed "New Era, New Cradle, New Power.”

In this video, Eakvixay Tran, a student from Laos, explores the birthplace of Chinese cinema – Changchun Film Studio – as he begins his film journey. Through his visits to the museum's artifacts and art exhibitions, interactions with films, and exploration of props and scenes, he learns about the birth, development, and evolution of Chinese cinema. He also shares his thoughts on his favorite Chinese films, movie characters and directors. He said, "In that museum, they show a lot of historical moments of filmmaking in China and it made me learn more and want to know more about Chinese culture as a whole."
