Seven U.S. troops were injured during a raid in western Iraq, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced late Friday. Five service personnel were wounded during the raid, while two others sustained injuries from falls during the operation, a defense official stated, adding that all were in stable condition.

Earlier, CENTCOM reported that its forces had conducted a partnered raid with the Iraqi Security Forces in western Iraq in the early hours of August 29, resulting in the deaths of 15 Islamic State operatives.
