Searchers found no survivors among the wreckage of a Russian helicopter that crashed in the far eastern peninsula of Kamchatka, Russian media reported on Sunday, citing the country's emergency services.

A Mi-8 helicopter went missing on Saturday over the Kamchatka Peninsula with 22 people on board. Among them were 19 tourists, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency previously said.

It's not immediately clear what caused the crash but the peninsula was hit by a cyclone over the weekend with heavy winds and rain.
