In 2024, Inkoua Stelgen, an international student from the Republic of the Congo, successfully defended his PhD at University of Jinan. But his connection with China began years earlier, thanks to his local Confucius Institute. During his studies in China, he chose the challenging field of water treatment technology—a discipline with real potential to make life better for millions in Africa. Thanks to his resilience and determination, he's now armed with a newly-minted doctorate in engineering and ready to face a bright future with confidence!
