Rwekaza S. Mukandala, Professor and Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, is among the scholars who co-signed a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping. In the letter, the scholars praised the historic achievements of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and expressed hope that the upcoming summit would open a new chapter in building a China-Africa community with a shared future and advancing the joint modernization of the Global South. He explained to CGTN why the scholars decided to write the letter and shared his views on the education cooperation between China and African countries.
