Visiting Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Wednesday met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the ninth Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia.

Han told Putin that China is full of confidence in the prospects of bilateral cooperation with Russia and is willing to actively support and participate in the development and cooperation of Russia's Far East region and share development opportunities with Russia to benefit the two peoples with more outcomes.

In their talks, Putin hailed relations between China and Russia, saying they've reached "an unprecedented level" and Russia hopes to have the opportunity to explore and identify new areas for cooperation with China.
