China continued to lead the medal table at the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris with 53 gold, 40 silver and 22 bronze medals after an excellent performances from their athletes on Tuesday.
Zou Lijuan threw 9.14 meters in the women's shot put F34 final at Stade de France, setting her season best and winning China's 200th gold in the track and field events at the Paralympic Games since their first participation in the Paralympics in 1984.
Zou told reporters that she did not expect to be winner of the lucky 200th medal. "It's even better than winning a gold," she said.
Another Chinese pair to join hands on the podium after competing in the women's discus throw F11 final were Zhang Liangmin and Xue Enhui. Zhang won gold with a throw of 39.08 meters. Xue came in second with 37.67 meters, and Assunta Legnante of Italy earned the bronze with 38.01 meters.
Having competed in the men's 1500-meter T54 final, Jin Hua and Dai Yunqiang finished with a gold and bronze medal. Jin and Dai had times of 2:49.93 and 2:54.54 respectively.

Chinese swimmers also made their country proud on Tuesday by occupying all three spots on the podium in two events. Yuan Weiyi won the men's 50-meter backstroke S5 final in 32.47 seconds, followed by Guo Jincheng in 33.02 seconds and Wang Lichao in 33.06 seconds.
Lu Dong, He Shenggao and Liu Yu did the same in the women's 50-meter backstroke S5 event. Lu secured the title with 37.51 seconds, and He came in second with a time of 39.93. The bronze wen to Liu who finished the competition in 42.37 seconds.
Two Chinese fencers, Feng Yanke and Gu Haiyan added two more gold medals for their team on Tuesday, Feng defeated Michal Dabrowski of Poland 15-14 in the men's saber Category B final. Gu dropped Kinga Drozdz of Poland 15-10 in the women's saber Category A event.
