Chinese athletes secured 12 gold, nine silver and 10 bronze medals on Thursday at the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris as they continue to lead the medal table with 74 golds.
Lu Dong, Zhang Li, Wang Lichao and Guo Jincheng won the mixed 4x50-meter medley relay 20 points final in 2:24.83, setting a world record, adding China's 70th title at the 2024 Para Games and the team's 600th gold in total at the Summer Paralympics.
Guo was joined by Wang and Yuan Weiyi in dominating the pool of the men's 50-meter freestyle S5 final by claiming the top-three spots of the event. Guo broke the world record by finishing the race in 29.33 seconds, followed by 30.8 of Yuan and 31.23 by Wang.

China won four golds in track and field events on Thursday. Wen Xiaoyan won the women's 100-meter T37 final in 12.52 seconds, setting a Paralympic record and defeating Taylor Swanson (13.19) and Jaleen and Roberts (13.29) of USA.
Yao Juan threw season-best 12.53 meters to pocket the women's shot put title F64 title. Her compatriot Yang Yue came in third with 11.77 meters, behind 12.19 by the silver medalist Arelle Middleton of USA.
Two Chinese runners, Jin Hua and Dai Yunqiang, stood next to each other on the podium after the men's 800-meter T54 final. Jin won the race by setting a Paralympic record of 1:28.2. Dai came in second in personal-best 1:29.94. The bronze medal went to Marcel Hug (1:30.98) of Switzerland.
Wu Qing broke a Paralympic record as well after finishing the women's shot put F33 final with 7.98 meters, beating Gilda Guadalupe Cota Vera of Mexico and Svetlana Krivenok who stands for Neutral Paralympic Athletes.
