The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is taking place in Beijing, marking another grand reunion of the China-Africa family. Since the establishment of FOCAC in 2000, and especially in recent years, the ties between China and African nations have been strengthening. This growing relationship is reflected in the increasing enthusiasm among African youth to learn Chinese. CGTN's Wang Guan visited the Confucius Institute at Makerere University in Uganda and met some young Chinese learners. He decided to hold a mini contest for them.
