Jiang Yuyan and Di Dongdong have been selected as the flag bearers for China at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, the Chinese delegation announced on Friday.

Both athletes have performed excellently at this year's Paralympic Games. Jiang won seven swimming gold medals, broking two individual world records and three Paralympic records in the women's 100-meter backstroke S6, women's 100-meter freestyle S6 and women's 50-meter freestyle S6 events.

Jiang also joined Peng Qiuping, Yuan Weiyi and Guo Jincheng to dominate the 4x50-meter freestyle relay 20 points final by lifting the world record to 2:14.98.

Di secured one gold medal in the men's long jump T11 event, setting a world record of 6.85 meters. He also secured bronze in the men's 100-meter T11 race. 

The closing ceremony of the 2024 Para Games will be held at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis on Sunday.
