Over 149,000 relocated in Wenchang as Typhoon Yagi hits Hainan

As of the evening of September 6, national, provincial and county roads have largely reopened following Typhoon Yagi. Over 149,000 residents in Wenchang City, Hainan Province, were relocated due to the storm. Water supply in the main urban areas has mostly been restored, and power and communication services have partially resumed, according to reports. The typhoon posed a severe threat to the facilities and equipment at the Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site. Currently, the risks are under control, and emergency recovery work is proceeding in an orderly manner.
