A senior Hamas official, Mohammed Mursi, deputy head of internal security in northern Gaza, was killed in an Israeli airstrike, according to Hamas-linked media in Gaza on Sunday.

Mursi was reportedly killed in a strike on his family home in Jabalia, along with three family members.

There was no immediate confirmation of his death from the Israeli military or Hamas.
