Relief crews are working to restore power, water, transportation and telecommunication services in southern China after super typhoon Yagi. According to Chinese authorities, more than 18,000 communication base stations in Hainan, Guangdong and Guangxi have been restored as emergency repairs to power and telecom facilities continue. Currently, the three ports on the north shore of the Qiongzhou Strait are open for the transport of vehicles, emergency repair crews and daily necessities.
