Wang Yi to attend BRICS security meeting in St. Petersburg

Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi will attend a BRICS security meeting in Russia from September 11 to 12, announced Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday.

At the invitation of secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Sergei Shoigu, and as usual practice, Wang, a member of the the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, will attend the 14th Meeting of BRICS High-Ranking Officials responsible for security matters/National Security Advisors in St. Petersburg, said Mao.
