Having an autistic son, Zhao Yan understands the hardships facing parents of special needs children. In 2015, she invested all her money into establishing the Zhibo Special Education Training Center in Gansu Province. Her resilience has illuminated a path forward for children with disabilities and their families. The center has provided free support to more than 400 children, helping many develop the necessary skills to enjoy independent lives.
