The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees said on Wednesday that nearly 530,000 children have now received the polio vaccine across the Gaza strip.

The UNRWA said its vaccination campaign was ongoing in north Gaza and it continues to work around the clock to reach all children under 10.

Palestinian health authorities and United Nations agencies began a vaccination drive against polio in the Gaza Strip on September 1, and the campaign will continue until September 12 in a three-stage phase across central, southern and northern parts of Gaza.
