Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Wednesday expressed gratitude towards Latvia as it announced a new package of military support to Ukraine amid the dragging conflict with Russia.

"I thanked for another package of military support, the 'Drone Coalition for Ukraine' initiative, assistance with energy equipment and the willingness to hand over solar panels for our hospitals. Grateful for the support for reconstruction, especially in the Chernihiv region," Shmyhal wrote on social media platform X as he met with his Latvian counterpart Evika Silina in Kyiv.

He said they discussed the expansion of cooperation in all areas related to strengthening the military, in particular cooperation between defense companies. For her part, Silina vowed that Latvia will continue its support for Ukraine.
