Mooncakes, best known as a Mid-Autumn Festival treat, are a daily delicacy for the people of Hotan in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Rizwangul's bakery makes mooncakes filled with rose jam, roasted walnuts, almonds and dried fruits. For locals, each sweet bite evokes precious childhood memories.
