Four original sculptures from Notre-Dame de Paris are being displayed in China for the first time, as part of an exhibition on the cathedral's history and restoration at the National Museum of China in Beijing.

The four sculptures on display include a chimera and a gargoyle, both shown outside France for the first time, a Gothic column capital and a human face covered in vegetation.

The augmented reality exhibition, which is part of the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism, officially opened to the public on September 12.
