China Media Group (CMG) staged an event in Beijing on Friday on cultural exchanges between China and Europe.

Co-hosted by the press office of the Beijing government, the event attracted artists from Austria, Britain, China and Serbia. They gave wonderful performances, including singing, instrumental music, dancing and martial arts.

The organizers also showcased the highlights of another social media event held by the CMG content center for European and Latin American languages. Titled "When Taichi Meets Symphony," the event welcomed young people from China and Europe to create innovative works with generative AI.

Viewed over 130 million times on social media, it demonstrated the innovative nature of people from different cultural backgrounds and their appreciation for each other.

"CMG is committed to fostering cultural exchanges between China and Europe," said Xia Yongmin, deputy chief editor of CGTN, at the event. "We will contribute more efforts to write a new chapter of China-Europe friendship."

Yu Junsheng, head of the press office of the Beijing government, expressed his hope that the vibrant performances can break the cultural barriers between China and Europe.

Andrey Tehov, ambassador of Bulgaria to China, said the event promoted mutual understanding between Chinese and European youth and brought them closer.

The cultural exchange is a part of the China International Fair for Trade in Services.
