A large-scale lantern sculpture display kicked off on Saturday ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing a festive atmosphere to the park.

A mythical phoenix swinging its tail; a Beijing Opera performer wearing VR goggles; iconic buildings from the Beijing Central Axis mounted on red columns alongside other famous landmarks in the capital – this dazzling extravaganza combines facets of Zigong's intricate lantern-making skills with Beijing's cultural landmarks to showcase a blend of cutting-edge technology and traditional craftsmanship.

As they stroll through this illuminated wonderland of lights, visitors can also enjoy local snacks, watch song and dance performances, learn intangible heritage skills, and even shop for creative cultural products.
The show will continue to run every night until October 31.
