A sweeping Mexican judicial reform officially took effect after the text of the constitutional changes was published in the government gazette on Sunday, marking the final step in the overhaul of the country's courts.

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in a post on social media said he signed the decree allowing for the publication in the gazette.
