Editor's Note: As the first Western country to establish diplomatic relations with China 70 years ago, Norway has always valued relations with China, friendship and cooperation being the defining features. Now with China granting Norwegian citizens 15-day visa-free access, a deepening partnership between the two countries is to be expected, with significant implications for bilateral relations and global engagement, from climate change and biodiversity protection to peace and development. In this edition of Leaders Talk, Zou Yun sat down on the high-speed train from Beijing to Shanghai with Jonas Gahr Støre, Norway's Prime Minister, during his recent official visit to China, to discuss future areas of partnership. "No country has gone through such a profound change and transition as China," he marvels. Commenting on Chinese President Xi Jinping's global initiatives, Støre remarks that they are "worth studying" and looks forward to seeing more contributions from China.
