Videos published by Peru's Ministry of Defense show firefighters working to contain large fires in the Amazon region.
According to the authorities, since the start of the year, 15 people have been killed in forest fires affecting the Andean and Amazonian regions of Peru amid a severe drought.
Firefighters and law enforcement personnel are working to extinguish the flames by land and air.
