Su Shi is a poet like no other in Chinese history, having endured the longest exile and ventured the farthest distance. He is also a symbol of the scholar-official class in ancient China and one of the most beloved literary figures among the Chinese people.
CGTN reporter Nadim Diab traveled to Huangzhou in central China, the site of the Northern Song poet's first exile and the origin of his culinary and literary masterpieces. There, he explored the enduring legacy of a man who has captivated Chinese hearts for nearly a millennium.
