Appreciating lanterns has long been a Mid-Autumn Festival tradition. In Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area, a 300-meter-long water lantern display featuring a full moon, jade rabbits, flying fish and other seasonal symbols is drawing visitors to gaze at the lanterns, soak up the scenery and celebrate the festival. As night falls, a bright 13-meter-wide moon rises silently, illuminating the surface of the lake. Vibrant flying fish, adorable jade rabbits and brightly lit lanterns shine brightly. From the sky, thousands of lanterns converge to form a winding river galaxy, illuminating the city's night sky with dazzling lights. The theme of this year's water lantern display, which runs until December, is "Moon Embracing the Milky Way."
