The China-U.S. economic working group holds its fifth meeting in Beijing, China. /CMG
The fifth meeting of the China-U.S. economic working group was held in Beijing from Thursday to Friday.
According to China's Ministry of Finance, the sides held candid, pragmatic and constructive discussions on issues such as the macroeconomic situation and policies of both countries, responses to global challenges and mutual concerns.
The Chinese side expressed serious concerns about the U.S. tariffs on China, restrictions on investment in China, sanctions related to Russia and actions affecting Chinese companies' interests. Both sides agreed to maintain communication.
The meeting was co-chaired by Chinese Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min and U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo, with relevant departments from both countries' economic sectors attending for exchanges.
