A grand lantern show recently illuminated Daguan Park in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
This event, crafted by over 500 lantern artisans over 40 days, featured five themed sections with 64 lantern-set displays and illuminated spots. More than 10,000 decorative lanterns adorned the park, making it the largest Mid-Autumn lantern exhibition ever held in Yunnan.
The designs showcased unique local culture, such as Ashima, a folk tale from the Yi Autonomous County in Shilin, and Yunnan's intangible cultural heritage item of "inside painting," a traditional craft where artists skillfully paint inside tiny bottles. This extraordinary event was a feast for the eyes, offering visitors a rare visual experience.
