Pagers used by Hezbollah simultaneously detonated on Tuesday and Wednesday, killing 37 people, including two children, and wounding thousands of others, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. CGTN spoke with people in Beirut who expressed grief and mourning for the victims, calling the attacks "forbidden" and "heinous."

Local resident Mohammed Faris remarked that the possibility of this being a crime committed by Israel cannot be ruled out, emphasizing that national unity displayed by the Lebanese people is vital.
