In the Chinese Super League, Beijing Guoan secured a 3-1 victory away at Meizhou Hakka after three draws in a row to rise to fourth in the table.
Guoan took an early lead in the 11th minute when Li Lei headed in. Meizhou responded after the hour mark, when Rodrigo Henrique set up Tyrone Conraad, who calmly sloted in to make it 1-1.
With 17 minutes to go, Guoan reclaimed the lead. Portugal's Guga was unmarked on the left, and was able to score from close range after some patient build-up play. Veteran striker Yu Dabao sealed the victory in the 89th minute with a powerful effort from inside the box. Beijing went up to the 4th in the standings, and Meizhou remained in deep trouble, ranking second from the bottom.
