CGTN will soon launch The Gateway of Time, an AR experience that takes you through China's 75-year transformation, all within the homes of its people – from a farmer's home in the 1950s to an urban factory worker's home in the 1990s, and finally, a modern urban household. Through the integration of immersive sensations, the product allows users to interact with the digital scenes and experience the 75-year development of people's lives in China.
In each scene, we provide data from that specific era within the full 75-year picture to give you a broader understanding of life during those times.
In the third scene, we enter a young software engineer's home, decoding the convenience and high-tech life in urban China today. This engineer is among nearly half of the country's labor force working in the tertiary sector today.
The graphs show the employment ratio of the sector and how per capita disposable income of Chinese urban residents has gone up over the years.
Moreover, as income and technology levels rise, more and more smart home appliances are entering people's lives, while new energy vehicles are also starting to go mainstream.
