Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs killed 14 people and injured many more on Friday. Hezbollah later confirmed that Ibrahim Akil, the acting commander of its elite Radwan Force, was among those killed in the strike. Two hours after the attack, CGTN interviewed local residents near the site about the incident and the current situation. Hassan Alian stated that every injury to a Lebanese citizen strengthens their resolve. Dana Alian remarked that the people stand with Gaza and that it would be unwise for Israel to escalate into a full-scale war with Lebanon.
