Nearly 200 reporters from major Chinese media outlets vowed on Sunday to tell the story of how Xinjiang has been forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation by conducting news gatherings and interviews across northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
They made the pledge at the launch of a themed media campaign "Forging a Strong Community: A United Chinese Family" at the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum in Urumqi on Sunday.
The reporters will travel to different parts of the region in four groups, visit people of different ethnic groups and conduct intensive coverage to showcase how Xinjiang is writing a chapter of its own on Chinese modernization.
