Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said in a social media post on Monday that he has resigned, following Anura Kumara Dissanayake's win in the South Asian country's presidential election.
In a letter addressed to President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Gunawardena announced he is resigning from the post and the national parliament was dissolved.
