At least 274 people, including 21 children, were killed and 1,024 wounded in Israeli air strikes on southern Lebanon on Monday, the country's health minister, Firas Abiad, said during a press conference.

The Israeli military said on Monday that it was increasing the scope of its air strikes against Hezbollah as it warned residents of the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon's east to stay away from the Lebanese armed group's sites.
