Greek state television reported on Monday that three migrants are dead and five were rescued off the island of Samos in Greece with more people were believed to be missing.

A search and rescue operation by four coastguard vessels and a helicopter was ongoing off the rocky shores of Agios Isidoros, in the northwestern part of the island, the coastguard said.
