The Israel Defense Forces said they killed Ibrahim Muhammad al-Qubaisi, the commander of the missile and rocket system of Hezbollah, in a strike on Lebanese capital Beirut on Tuesday, according to a statement.

"The Air Force attacked Da'ahia in Beirut and eliminated Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi under the precise intelligence guidance of the Intelligence Division," the statement read.

The Hezbollah has not yet commented on the Israeli claim.

Earlier in the day, Israel said it conducted a strike on Beirut. Lebanon's Health Ministry said six people were killed and 15 injured in the strike.
