Wild China Up Close: What are the stone pillars on Hua'ao Island?

Xiangshan County on the eastern coast of China hosts Hua'ao Island. Columnar jointing caused by marine erosion makes the island quite well known. The diameters of these columns reach 50 centimeters, making them thicker than those on the Giant's Causeway.
