Anji's 'gold mine' of bamboo trees spurs China's green development

Anji County, in east China's Zhejiang Province, known as the hometown of bamboo in China, has grown its bamboo industry steadily, producing environmentally friendly, renewable bamboo materials such as disposable tableware and hotel supplies.

With an expected output value of 19 billion yuan ($2.71 billion) in 2024, Anji has fully leveraged the valuable attributes of bamboo to replace plastic – truly turning bamboo into something as valuable as gold.
