Marvel at these vibrant figurines meticulously crafted from dough! Yang Kai, a 28-year-old inheritor of Kongtong dough sculpture from Pingliang City, Gansu Province, drew inspiration from a famous mural painting in the Yulin Caves. After a year of dedication, he completed this stunning set of dough sculptures featuring 30 intricate figures.
The Yulin Caves, located in Guazhou County, Gansu, house over 5,200 square meters of murals and more than 259 painted sculptures across 43 caves. These caves belong to the same "Dunhuang Caves" artistic complex as the renowned Mogao Caves.
