Shanghai Port are into the final of the Chinese Football Association (FA) Cup after defeating city rivals Shanghai Shenhua 3-2 on Wednesday.

Shenhua are currently second in the Chinese Super League, with Port just two points above them and leading the way with eight games to go in an exciting title race.

The FA Cup derby-day saw Port open the scoring in the 18th minute though Leo Cittadini.

Shenhua soon leveled, however, with four minutes to go until the break thanks to Chen Jinyi.

In the second half, Cittadini restored Port's lead with a second goal only five minutes after the re-start.

Port were then awarded a penalty when Wu Lei was tripped by keeper Bao Yaxiong. Oscar then converted from the spot in the 64th minute to make it 3-1. Cephas Malele pulled one back for Shenhua in stoppage time but the match ended 3-2.

Port will now play Shandong Taishan in the final on November 23rd.
