A magnitude-5.7 earthquake struck off the coast of Kushiro in northern Japan's Hokkaido on Thursday with a depth of 60 kilometers, said the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
No tsunami warning has been issued and there is no immediate report on damage or casualties.
