In this exclusive interview with Volker Rehrmann, head of TOMRA Recycling, and Jan Laegaard Broni, national chair of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China, CGTN's Lucia asked the pair about China's green development in the new era and green transition exchanges between China and Nordic countries.

As a 50-year-old Norwegian company, TOMRA entered the Chinese market in 2010. From initially relying entirely on imported products to now achieving localization in research and development and production, Volker said: "We saw the opportunity to use the strength of the Chinese economy, especially the high level of education of the employees that we have found here, to set up our own R&D team to develop a special line of sorts. Now we sell these local products not only in China but everywhere in the world."

Volker and Jan were profoundly impressed by China's rapid development and modernization. Jan, who has been in China for 17 years, said, "One of the things I enjoy in China is the speed from decision to action. I hope that China will remain the powerhouse that it is, economy-wise."
